Malaysian authorities seized 1,069 bitcoin mining rigs, laid them out in a parking lot at police headquarters, and used a massive steamroller to crush them, as part of a joint operation between law enforcement in the city of Miri and electric utility Sarawak Energy. Supposedly miners had illegally used electricity for their operations, to the tune of $2 million. So as a punishment and frankly, a propaganda stunt for the crypto-hating media talking heads, the local Police released a video showcasing the destruction of over $1m in mining equipment. Nice try. We’re NOT selling!
